Meet local people interested in the Semantic Web, an initiative by the W3C [http://www.w3c.org] to make the web "one giant database": The Data Web. We address technologies such as RDF, RDFS, OWL and applications that help to develop or that use ontologies, controlled vocabularies and rules systems in the enterprise and on the World Wide Web.

We are a team of robot hobbyists, professionals, or consultants, beginners through intermediate/advanced that volunteer in the area of Robotics and Automation in the Washington DC / Maryland / Virginia metropolitan area.

We are the DC Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery.  We help advance computing as a science and a profession.  We do this offline through lectures, workshops, discussion panels, and professional development seminars.  We partner with ACM HQ, ACM Public Policy, ACM special interest groups (SIGs), DC area technical user groups, and area university Comp Sci and Info Tech departments.
